Finished for Friday: The Big Project

Unfortunately, this project isn't fun or crafty, or visual in any way. I've spent months cleaning up and auditing the PTA financial records for our middle school. This task has been nagging me from the top of the to do list for ages. I've done it piece by piece and finally yesterday the last bit of reconciling was done. What a relief! It felt like a huge weight off my shoulders.

I also got Wasabi Girl into summer camp. The week she wanted was full, with a wait list. I've been checking the website over and over and finally the other day it didn't have "full" written over the week in big red letters. I registered online and paid in full as fast as I could. She got in. Now the website says full again. Hooray!

And for better or worse, I joined Facebook. Drama Girl felt this had to be part of her life and she asked me to be her friend so I could see what she's doing. Fair enough. But oh my! What have I gotten myself into??

Lit and Laundry

What have you accomplished this week? I love to see what you've been up to. Hopefully next week I'll have some more craftiness done. Feel free to grab my button from my sidebar if you'd like!

Update: Mr. Linky is down at the moment, sorry! I'll come visit everyone, and you might want to tell us in the comments if you've got an accomplishment this week.

Welcome to the world of mini class reunions with all the people you did (or in some cases) didn't want to know what happened too.

I hope you will post some of your crafty creations for all to see on facebook!

The funny thing about Facebook for me is the most active of my "friends" are the pretty much ones I know from blogs or message boards. I'm really not interacting with my old school mates or long lost relatives (which is fine). I'm too busy taking quizzes and making lists of my five favorite vegetables anyway. Congratulations on getting the PTA financials reconciled and on getting your daughter into camp!

Bookeeping - that is a heavy-duty job.. congrats on its completion. And woohoo for your daughter getting into the camp of her choice.

For us it has been hair week. I got mine, 2 boys and 2 girls hair done in prep. for the wedding next week. Also, wedding dress is properly pressed (hopefully it will stay that way). We did install our first ever bee hives last weekend, but the rest of the work is up to the bees.

I'm so impressed that she actually *asked* you to sign up so you could check in on her. Very smart. I've definitely seen a lot of questionable things go by on some of my cousins' pages, and I'm never sure where my responsibility lies.

And yes, it's a major time suck and totally entertaining. :-)

Congrats on the auditing. That must be such a weight off your shoulders!!

Another week has flown by and I don't feel as though I have accomplished anything, even though I've been super busy.

Did you know your Twitter updates can automatically update your Facebook status?

Cheryl posted it on her blog (the Followers widget thing.)
And, I'm on Facebook.
It does get weird.
Worlds are colliding.
And, you can't stop someone from posting a picture of you.
A few not so flattering pics have been posted of me in high school...I was a wild child.

And don't you hate it when the stuff you accomplish is stuff you HAVE to do!? Blah!

Have a great weekend!

I thought I had finished my MIL's website. Until she showed up again with about 20 more photos.

Sigh.

LOL Just read Patty's comment and i have to say, it's the same for me. I "talk" to more bloggy friends there than my "regular" friends :)
Speaking of, if you want to friend me, look for Debi Bouffard :)

Glad to hear you got caught up with your jobs and that your daughter got into summer camp. I hope you all have a great summer. I am not on facebook as I struggle to find time to blog as it is! I hope you and your daughter enjoy facebook but please don't stop blogging like many other facebook converts!
I visited this post yesterday several times and everything looked weird. I couldn't leave a comment and the rest of your blog had disappeared. I think it was my computer!! It was having a bad day!!

I think blogger was playing tricks this past week, there were several blogs I could not get into.
But anyways.. I'm so glad you got your daughter into the camp.. and that the PTO books are sorted out. Yippee! Summer VACATION.
And Facebook is a riot. My kids got me on it too.. but I found so many of my own friends.. and we play Scrabble.
I have to tell you.. I watched those teachers dancing twice..and am still wiping the tears from my eyes.

Facebook is quite an adventure- enjoy! Very impressed that your daughter asked you to be her facebook friend- that to me says that you two have a wonderful relationship.
