Finished for Friday: Hexagon Quilt

This week I finished my hexagon quilt that I started quite a while ago. It's very pale colors so I hope this photo gives you an idea of what it looks like.

The binding around the hexagon points was a learning experience, if you know what I mean. I know how to do it now, but I've also cured myself of any desire to do another hexagon quilt in the near future.

That's all there is to it! Thanks so much for playing along!

  2. The quilt is beautiful. I read your profile I currently have 3 under 2 until March. My older son will be 2 and the twins will be 13 1/2 months. They are 10 1/2 months apart. Life is crazy. My blog is thiscrazylife-amy.blogspot.com

  3. The quilt is really beautiful, but I can obviously understand how labor-intensive that must have been. What an accomplishment!

  9. Your hard work really paid off. It's stunning, and your fabric selections are great. I understand what you mean about not doing another. Sometimes the first experience is enough!!

  11. That quilt is absolutely stunning. The soft colors just make it perfect. LOL, you are braver than me, I'd never try an hexagon shaped quilt...what am I saying, I'd never try a quilt. I have always envied folks talented enough to make quilts, my patients is too short. I tried one time but couldn't get the pieces to fit right.
Thanks for stopping by my blog

  13. Oh, this is just gorgeous! I want it!!! I love the colors and the layout and, well, just the whole thing. I LOVE it.

I am working on a hexagon quilt myself (not with this pattern, though), but fully expect it to take me YEARS to finish it. I will have to send it to you so you can bind it for me. LOL!

I did a scalloped border once and swore I would never do another one... until I forget. (Kinda like childbirth that way. But only kinda.)

  14. I finished cleaning my house.

Sure, it's not a quilt, but I do have some small sense of satisfaction.

I'm immersed in my mosaic project not finished. Hopefully before the class ends or I'm in trouble!
