You are so demanding. I just can't sleep. Or sometimes you wake me in the middle of a deep sleep. I don't like the constant nagging, but I love you and you're mine so of course I'll do anything to make sure you flourish. These days I hardly notice how tired I am. Seems like all I do is answer your call to feed you and change you.
So small, so precious. I look at others who have grown and I see what you could become someday. Will you look like that? Will your life be successful and rich and full? Will you always have that whimsy and happiness I know you possess inside?
I worry about you so much, as we all do with newborns. Are you growing at the right pace? Are you reaching the appropriate milestones? Do you look the way you should? Are you developing in all the right ways?
As with all babies, you attract your share of admiring relatives and friends. But you're so social with complete strangers it amazes me. People I've never met before stop to make comments about you. It makes me feel proud and admire you more. I hope you never lose your outgoing nature.
Even in your infancy you have attracted some real friends. It's amazing how well you play together and want to visit one another every day. I can hardly keep up with all of them.
It's the middle of the night, and I think I can put you safely to rest now. I really need my own sleep. I'll be here for you first thing tomorrow, I promise.
Sleep well, little blog.

You're up early this morning. You've always been one of the most creative people I know. Its no surprise that your blog is such a hit! I, of course, see continued success for Blogarella or Blogswell or Bloglette... or whatever your infant blogs name is. And I'll say... I knew her way back when!

Omigosh, this is amazing! :)
Think most of us "new mamas" can relate! So artfully written as always...hope we'll always have a li'l playgroup going. :)
All grandmas walk right up to you and say....ooooh. enjoy them while they're young. They grow up so fast. I always 1) want to punch them in the face and 2) generally ask if they'd like to trade for a few weeks. They always laugh and say no!
Can you tell I'm better with toddlers!!
Oh my gosh. Hysterical. As I was reading it was I was thinking, "what newborn? what baby? what did i miss?" :)
Oh too funy!! haha
Like angie, I was thinking, what's going on? Is there something she's not telling us? Then I though, ok, maybe she's babysitting, or got a new puppy.
LOL..Your blogs are always amazing...I love reading them. Keep 'em coming, because I have nothing better to do! LOL
Oh. you are TOO funny.
Come to think of it, I think I'll go take a nap and let the blog-o-sphere alone!
This is very clever.
I'm jealous I didn't think of it.
LOL!! They do require way too much attention. I lose way more sleep due to blogging that I ever did for my kids.
Oh I can so relate. But you had me going till the last line! (being new to your blog I don't know your family story!) Somehow there is something so amazing about seeing your words and photos on the screen, out in the world ... it is like motherhood. You write beautifully.
That was hilarious!
That was so funny. I was so confused for a moment. Good one!
You are so creative :) I really enjoyed (and related to) this one :)
