Makes My Monday: School Supplies

Drama Girl starts high school in two days.   I'm in complete denial that I have a child old enough for high school, but I'm sure it will sink in at some point.

In elementary school, the kids always got lists of back to school supplies over the summer.  Apparently in high school, kids are supposed to come up with their own organization systems, which is fine with me.  Drama Girl loves shopping in all its forms, and couldn't resist dragging her father to a store to "get just a few things for the first day."

Apparently the first day of school requires a lot of pens.  And sharpie pens in every color.

I admit, after seeing her haul, I want to go out and buy a bunch of pens and some fresh paper. Maybe even some sharpies.

Makes My Monday is hosted by Cheryl at Twinfatuation.

I love school supplies! I was almost disappointed that the kids didn't need any for starting preschool, save for some clothing labels and a pair of slippers. Soon, though. :-)

I detest school supplies. I do love the fact that, once they're old enough, I can drop them off at the local office supply store with a gift card and head for Starbucks while they figure it all out.

So true! I love new school supplies, and my kids, not surprisingly, share that love!

new school supplies are awesome and so fun I can remember all the school supplies I had when I was a kid and now watch as my kids get theirs together

I can totally relate... my baby starts school in a couple of weeks and I'm already having nightmares.

P.S. Nothing like new school supplies!

I'm with Drama Girl---and have a bad case of school supply envy!

Know she'll be great...and you are far too youthful to have a girl entering high school! (Please reciprocate that when my time comes! ;) )

Thank you so much for playing along with Makes My Monday!

This so reminds me of myself at her age {even now} there is just nothing like a fresh pack of Sharpies.

We are school supply junkies here. My daughter and I love to ohhh and ahhh over all the new ones that come out. Plus I think a sharpie 24 pack makes an excellent birthday present for any girl over the age of 7! Everyone needs a little permanent color in their life!
