Finished for Friday: Thread catcher
I've been looking for one of these for a while now. A station to park pins and needles and drop scraps. Perfect for those days when I wander outside to stitch.
Although I found scads of them at a quilt show, I didn't find any in colors I liked, so I took things into my own hands and made this one. I think it's pretty cute.
What have you been up to this week? Be sure to read the guidelines above, leave a comment, and visit the other participants. Thanks for joining in!
I'm going to try something new this week, and include thumbnails. Let me know what you think. You have to be brief in your description.

um... duh! that is such a cool idea! I must not be going to the right quilt shows, cause I've never seen one!
I love the photo Linkys! They are so much more fun :)
I've never seen a thread catcher, but now that I have I realize how handy this gadget would be. Great idea! Thank you for hosting the party again this week.
This looks lovely, I could do with a few of these to leave scattered around the house! How do you make it stay on the table?
This is not only useful-its lovely! I'd love it if you let us know how you made it. With my new embroidery huswif and this thread catcher the coffee table would be unrecognizable. :)
Love this... just another project to add to the always growing To-Do (or is it Wish) List.
Thanks for sharing. I love the thumbnail linkies too :-)
Oh, your little pin cushion and scrap bag is SO cute! I love the pretty, bright colors.
I also love the thumbnails in the Linky party! If only I had a finish this week . . .

This is my first time here!!! Thanks for hosting the party!
Very nifty thread catcher. A good idea as a present for people who quilt or sew!
(I'm another fan of the thumbnail Linky's. Festive!)
Yes...I don't think you can have too many of these. I want one to hang off my ironing board...I have a pattern...just haven't done it!
Yours is cute girl!
It did turn out cute.
Neat threadcatcher. I made one with a larger pincushion, but no magnet. I may have to add a magnet to mine - it would be useful.
What a great idea! My daughter sews A LOT and I am forever finding stray pins and threads on and under the dining room table (craft central, really; we eat in the living room! LOL!) I will suggest making one of these as her next project, or better yet, make one for her for a Christmas gift! Thanks for sharing!
Love the party! Thanks for hosting. I'm now following :-)
Very cool. I could use something like that in a lap model, for when I'm working in front of the TV.
What a great idea!!!
